# Stowaway

> Stowaway (stowaway.live) is a free, browser-based 3D flight tracker that puts you in the window seat. It renders a live view of the sky from real data: every aircraft overhead from public ADS-B broadcasts, satellites on their catalogued orbits, and the sun, moon, stars, weather and terrain computed for any spot on Earth. Pick any flight actually in the air and watch roughly what its passengers see, live. No account and no install; it runs in any modern browser with WebGL2.

Key facts:

- Free to use. No account, no download, no ads. An optional paid supporter tier funds the free one.
- Aircraft positions come from ADS-B — public radio broadcasts picked up by volunteer receivers worldwide. Coverage is densest over Europe and North America.
- Satellites (the ISS, Starlink, weather satellites, tracked debris) come from the same public orbital catalog astronomers use.
- The picture is a live rendering built from that data — not cameras. It is not a navigation source and must not be used as one.
- Someone on a real flight can share a link; whoever opens it flies along live from the ground.
- The supporter tier adds Roger (an AI that finds a flight from a plain-words request), photoreal ground imagery, flight-number search, and origin/destination details.
- For airlines: a white-label fly-along delivered as a link with the boarding pass. Nothing is installed on the aircraft.
- Location data is used only to compute which sky to draw, and is not retained or sold.
